January Topic – Basic Security for Personal Computers
January 7th, 2009
In an effort to test out my idea for Tech Scamps, I’m going to solo a while before recruiting some associates. This month, I’m going to post some thoughts and links to ideas I have on some basic steps I think most people should take to secure their personal computers and devices.
A quick outline of these ideas I have is making sure you are up-to-date with anti-virus and security patches for the operating system. Not running with administrator privledges for day-to-day operations. Backing up your stuff. Keeping things clean and performing well.
What is your routine maintenance like?
